In essence, Hajime can see how motivated someone is, how confident they're feeling, how sure of themselves they are at any given moment. He essentially sees their passion in its raw form: a sort of spectral flame, burning strong when full of certainty and enthusiasm, or smoldering embers when doubtful and afraid.
With this ability, he can connect his own willpower with another's, sharing his faith with them. By performing his cheering routine, he can fill a subject with endless motivation, increasing a person's stamina and physical limits to astounding heights... so long as he doesn't mess up. That'll screw the subject up even worse.
This ability can be used a lot of ways, but that's the main feature. Since connecting two peoples' energy is super invasive and weirdly intimate, Hajime will hold back from doing it unless a target is asking for help. Moreover, THIS POST is the place to let me know whether or not you or your characters aren't comfortable with some weird kid in a uniform ogling their confidence.
Sidenote, all this only applies to organic beings. Robots, programs, and androids need not worry, unless you mind him treating them like second-class lifeforms.
